All summer long the farmers make hay for the winter months. The fields are not very large and the equipment is often motorized hand equipment or even just pitchforks. How little changes and how slowly! In the larger fields down below hay balers produce the big round bales we are familiar with and the farmers bring them into the village to stack into the lofts of their barns or houses.
