On the street leading from the sawmill to the church are several fine homes. This one shows many of the building elements of this region of France.
On the street level a large double door opens into an open space. It used to be the barn for the farmers' animals. Now it is a garage or storage area. The stair leads up to the living area above it. The porch hanging on the side of the house is also tupical and was used for drying clothes or even meat in the old days. |
