| This is the view from the southeast corner of the barn. The Lower East Side, which was the first house built here, had been originally a small barn and living-quarters.They wanted to make that section into two guest rooms. The chimney is from a hearth in the Upper East Side where the people lived before 1900. That chimney was removed, but will eventually be replaced with a chimney for a high-efficiency wood burning stove. | ||||||||
