| North of the barn was a small pasture. It sloped about eight feet from the west side down to a retaining wall on the right side. When the previous owner needed this area mowed, he asked a neighbor to bring his goats through the barn to this area to clean it up. When we need a space to dump the dirt from the floor of the Lower East Side this was the place. Likewise, we dumped the stone and rubble from the center wall of the West Wing out here. | |||||||
