This picture shows the pointed walls when we returned in June 2008. This is the work done by the local masons. Heidi did most of the rest of the pointing in the barn.

In the old French farmhouses, this alcove was a sink. Water from the well was kept in a bucket below the sink and the drain is through the wall to the outside.

Two large flat stones protrude from the sides of the alcove above the sink. These supported a shelf above in the old days.
