| In the last days of the 2006 spring session, they decided they would never be satisfied with the spring in the floors if they left them on the old joists. Therefore, we took the joists out and had an open space 15 x 30 feet, 16 feet to the ceiling. We had been told that if we moved to many things around there was a chance the whole edifice could come down. Carl awoke in a cold sweat several times in the following months, sure we would return to find the barn tumbled down into the street. Clark, of course, salvaged all the timbers. | |||||||
