| During the winter of 2006 we had worked in the cold to build the staircase of stone, leading to the loft. The stone came from the back yard where we had stored the stone from the center wall. On the right of the picture is one of the columns Clark used to support the west end of the beams of the Loft floor. He had raised the beam as much as ten inches in order to get the ceiling level in this room. Heidi's handiwork is shown in the pointing of the stone wall to the right of the stairs. | |||||||
